The original use was the source of inspiration for the design of the Palais Wertheim. The main feature of the halls is a grid-like structure, which partly transitions into the vertical in the main hall, the Wertheim Hall. This vertical wall (concrete mesh) separates the access area from the common area and at the same time acts as the "signature piece" of the venue.
This vertical wall divides the access area from the living area and at the same time acts as a symbol in the event venue. These grid structures give the event halls a brutalistic design (the origin of the name is, inter alia, in the French term béton brut ["raw concrete"], which refers to a key defining feature of the style, namely the material visibility of the building) Source: Wikipedia in contradiction to the interior, which is equipped with curtains, upholstered seating and generous mirrors. The innovative room concept of the Palais Wertheim halls offers Viennese elegance and Berlin style.
